Today we are very pleased to be writing about Torch soy candles. Designed and handmade in Geelong Victoria we think these little gems are great. With so many candles on the makret these days it's hard to find one that's simple, well designed and a little bit cool. Torch have hit the spot. What and who is Torch?

Torch Soy Candles is my company and we produce handmade delicious smelling, long lasting candles! 

What triggered the moment when you decided to launch your own brand of soy candle? 

I adore candles and decided to learn how to make them because I was spending so much money on buying them! Turns out I really enjoyed the entire process of making soy candles from scratch, so much so that I wanted to share the love and decided to sell them! 

What have you found the most enjoyable about running your own business? 

I think the feedback I get from people is the best part. I love that people enjoy the candles as much as I do. 

For those of us who are candle novices, can you sum up in a sentence or so why soy candles are the bomb?

Soy wax is a vegetable based product derived from soy beans. Soy candles burn cleaner and longer than other wax and they are non toxic so give off a lovely clean burn.

Would you rather be a pelican or a toucan? Why?

I'm not a huge fan of birds, they frighten me, but I would say a Toucan because of their gorgeous colourful beaks!
